Halloween

Porter dressed up as Mario.
Lincoln as Luigi.
One thing I didn't know before Caleb and I got married was that he is the Halloween Scrouge. I love Halloween-it's my 2nd favorite holiday (Christmas is 1st of course). Caleb wouldn't let me buy a costume for Porter, so I used normal clothes. Luigi was a costume my mom bought on clearance a few years ago, so that was what he got to be. Lincoln doesn't even know who Luigi is; we watched a trailer for the new Wii Mario London Olympic Games so he could get an idea. We only have 10 finished houses in our subdivision, so we weren't expecting many trick-or-treaters, so the plan was for me to stay with Porter and give candy and Caleb and Lincoln go trick-or-treat. Being too shy, Caleb made me go and he stayed with Porter. Caleb said we only had 3 kids come and Porter cried nearly the whole time. Lincoln got tons of candy and it was really good weather, so we had a great time. Other kids said "Hi Luigi" whenever they saw his costume, so his costume was great! Hopefully next year Caleb will not be a Scrouge and take Lincoln door to door.

Carving Pumpkins

Caleb and Lincoln carving a pumpkin.
We only made one Jack-o-Lantern this year. I don't have the patience to make one and neither does Lincoln. We had a good time though and loved making pumpkin seeds too.

Trunk or Treat

Eating dinner before the trunk or treat.
Luigi and Mario (aka Lincoln and Porter).

Story Time

Lincoln enjoying story time.
A witch singing songs for story time.
This was our first story time experience. Story time is right before nap time, so we never went. The library is closer to us now, so we gave it a try. Since it was right before Halloween the kids dressed up and got candy. The librarians only sang songs though, so we were disappointed there was no story. We still had a great time and we will go again soon.

Monkey Game

Lincoln loves to play the monkey game.
Lincoln loves playing games. When we first played the game, he just liked to make the monkey hit my head. He now likes to get the monkeys to swing in the tree.

Snow Day

Lincoln and our snow family.
Lincoln and I made a snow family. It was the first snowman I have made in at least 10 years. I wanted just one, but Lincoln wanted to make one for Daddy, Mommy, Lincoln, and Porter. The mommy and daddy tipped over and Lincoln said they were "hugging."

Silly Boy!

Lincoln popping bubble wrap.
Lincoln eating a lemon like a grapefruit.
Porter in the swing. He really prefers to be held!
We got some lemons in our bountiful basket. Lincoln wanted to eat one, so I cut it and he liked it and grabbed a grapefruit spoon. He ate the whole thing!

It is so nice to have a backyard. We can go outside whenever we want now. We have been enjoying this wonderful weather!

Little Photographer

Lincoln managed to take a picture upside down.
Lincoln taking a picture of himself.
Lincoln loves to take pictures with the camera. I always love uploading the pictures and finding these treasures. He is a good photographer (I can't take pictures of myself that well). Maybe he will be the next Ansel Adams.

Caleb's Birthday

Lincoln mixing the cake and Porter being entertained.
Our first thing to cook in our new house was Caleb's birthday cake. It made the house smell so yummy. Lincoln enjoyed making the cake. Porter prefers being held, but was content in the bouncer (he has hiccups here). Don't mind the mess, we are still moving in.

Porter's Blessing

Porter right before he got blessed.
Our family.
We decided to bless Porter this week, since we had some family here. We blessed him in our old ward, Grandview. This was Porter's first time going to church. We taught primary too. It was pretty crazy with a newborn. We will miss our ward and are glad everyone got to see the baby.

Moving Day

Moving was rough on Porter.
Lincoln in the moving truck.
Lincoln playing in the snow.
The first snow of the season happened to be on our moving day. Lincoln was the only one who loved it. We got everything moved in and things worked well despite the weather. Luckily we had lots of family willing to come out to Colorado and help us. This was Porter's first move, Lincoln's sixth, Charlotte's twelfth, and even more for Caleb if you count mission transfers. We call this the house we will live in forever (or at least several years).

2 Weeks Old

Porter is two weeks old!
I actually took this picture at 6:32 PM so he is exactly two weeks old. Porter loves to be held. He likes to be warm in a blanket or his sleep sack. He does not like the pacifier and diaper changes. We love you Porter!
