Bowling

Caleb getting ready to bowl.
Seth and Rebekah joined our date.
All of us at the bowling alley.
My highest bowling score ever.

I have never bowled over 100, actually 80. I can sometimes surprise myself. Needless to say, this is the first time I have ever won Caleb in bowling.

Driving to Utah

Lincoln told me to take a picture of him while he was playing with his lion and giraffe.

Lincoln did so well riding in the car. He was happy and never complained. Several hours after this picture he had a tummy-ache and he told us that his tummy hurt and he needed to pray. He said "Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for the nice day. My tummy hurts, please make it get better. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen." It was so sweet, it made me cry. He has learned his most valuable lesson in life-- God will always be there for him. I learn so much from Lincoln and am thankful for his example and childlike faith.

Pet Store

Lincoln is at the pet store looking at the birds.

Since it is cold outside and we are always trying to save money, the pet store is our free zoo. Lincoln loves it there. Someday we will get a fish, but for now, we just window shop. One of the workers was putting in some snakes and Lincoln and I touched them. That was the first time either of us had ever touched a snake!

Getting Buried

Lincoln burying himself in bark chips.
Lincoln loves to play and always thinks of new things to do at the playground. He also pretended to eat the bark chips for dinner and said that they were "hamgurbers" (that's how he says hamburgers) and shared them with me.

Fun and Busy Day

We finished the Christmas decorating by putting up the window clings. Lincoln calls them stickers.
Lincoln put them everywhere, high and low. He loves decorating.
We received Christmas presents from the Days. Lincoln helped me put them under the tree.
During Lincoln's nap I made chocolate cake. He woke up in time to help me clean.
He is definately my child. I think I am a little less messy though.

Mr. Bossy

Lincoln has been telling me what to do all the time now. He told me when to take pictures, so that's why there is a picture for everything we did today.Lincoln used a glue stick for the first time and had fun gluing on Christmas paper.
He decided to feel what a stamp pad felt like. I let him go for it and he made lots of hand prints. Unfortunately, it is not washable ink...oh well.
Lincoln wanted a picture taken while we were playing with his Thomas and tractor.
At the playground, he would tell me to "run round and round." He would run the opposite way and catch me. I think I ran close to a mile playing this game.
Lincoln wanted to take a picture of us, so this is my attempt.

New Playground

Lincoln has discovered how to go down a slide head first. Luckily it isn't very steep.
This little boy loves to climb everything. He loves to be outside and we are enjoying all the somewhat warm weather we can get.

Stamping it Up

Lincoln is helping me do some stamping for Christmas Cards. We are planning on sending cards this year, for the first time ever. We are making them to save money and give me something to do. I'm not used to staying home all day. I'm still adjusting... hobbies are expensive though. We had a lot of fun together today. Tomorrow we will be doing the cutting.
Lincoln is happy to try stamping.
He pressed the stamp onto the ink. When I told him to push hard, he said "squeeze."
He followed directions very well by only stamping on the paper.

Who knew work could be so much fun? Lincoln sure helps me remember this simple joys in life.

Halloween

We are ready for Halloween. Lincoln is a vampire and I am supposed to be Repunzel.
Lincoln was so cute trick or treating. Unfortunately it was raining and cold, but he wanted to keep going. We trick or treated for about 1 1/2 hours. We taught him to say "trick or treat" and "thank you," but he usually said "thank you" as soon as they opened the door. We had a lot of fun getting candy.

Quitting

After working at Bear River Early Head Start for 9 months, I am going to be quitting. Caleb is starting his career in Colorado. November 2 will be my last day. I will miss the kids and my coworkers, but I am so excited to be a stay at home mom again. These flowers were given to me by my co-teacher Valerie. We became great friends and I learned so much from her. I appreciate the opportunity I had to work with such wonderful people.
I've never had a Halloween bouquet before.

Deer Hunt

Caleb loves spending time outdoors with his family. He didn't put in for the hunt, since we didn't know where we would be living. This could be the last hunt for awhile.

Yellowstone

Lincoln and Grandpa at a waterfall.
LTrying to enjoy the scenery. Lincoln just wanted to see Buffalo in the road.

It was very windy while looking at the cascades.

Looking at the Dragon Cauldron. We are not fighting, we just wanted to still be able to see the Dragon Cauldron in the picture.

Old Faithful

This was the only picture that Lincoln was smiling in at Old Faithful. Of course this was the first picture we took while we were waiting for it.
Lincoln liked watching Old Faithful. Once it started, he wouldn't turn around and look at me.

Enjoying the Scenery of Yellowstone

Lincoln and Grandma are sitting on a log in Yellowstone.
Lincoln is very happy to be in Yellowstone.

Lincoln's Singing

Lincoln loves this song. He points out flags when we are driving, so we would sing "The Flag Song" to him. He knows all the words although he missed a few here.

Arm Coloring

Lincoln discovered that he could color on something besides paper. He accidentally got some on his hand and thought it was cool and just kept going. At least it was washable.
Who knew that coloring on skin could be so much fun.

Bicycling

Lincoln will ride his bike around our block. I think he goes about 1/2 mile on it. He has a lot of energy and endurance. We get plenty of exercise keeping up with Lincoln.
Lincoln loves to ride his bike.
