Bridge

 Grandma Bott and Porter.
 Porter sitting on the bridge.
Lincoln throwing a huge rock into the water.
One of our favorite things to do in Castle Dale is to throw rocks off the bridge.  Lincoln loves every part about it, walking there, finding rocks, and throwing the rocks.  Porter thought it was okay.  I'm sure he will like it more when he gets older.

Lincoln's Fish

Charlotte and Porter sitting together.
 Lincoln reeling in his fish.
Lincoln caught his first fish!
We have yet to catch a fish in Colorado, so we decided to go to Utah so Lincoln could try fishing.  Grandma and Grandpa Bott joined us and Lincoln caught his first fish.  It was one of the cutest things I have ever seen! (We have a video of it, but it won't upload.  Check back later to watch-hopefully.)

Glow Stick Bath

Porter and Lincoln having a bath with glow sticks.

The boys love bath time, but they thoroughly enjoyed having glow sticks in the tub too.  We had the lights off (you can't tell with the camera flash) and they took an hour long bath.  Thanks to pinterest we had an extra exciting bath.

Bubbles

Lincoln  blowing bubbles with the bubble gun he got for his birthday.
Porter watching the bubbles.

We love blowing bubbles.  The boys always enjoy it.  The only trickly thing is finding a day where it is not very windy.  Today was a great day for blowing bubbles.

Dinner

Lincoln and Porter finishing dinner.
When Caleb is out of town, I don't cook.  Lincoln chose ravioli for dinner again tonight.  That may be what we will be eating all week.

Lincoln's Fourth Birthday

Happy Fourth Birthday Lincoln.  I can not believe Lincoln is four already.  Lincoln's favorite thing to do is anything outdoors.  He loves running, jumping, climbing, somersaulting, walking, biking, and sitting on the front porch.  He also loves to play with Porter.  He is the best big brother in the world.  He is always making Porter laugh, he can make him laugh harder than anyone else.  Lincoln loves to make everyone happy.  He always says or does something to make me laugh daily.  He also encourages others and freely gives compliments.  He tells other kids good job when they play games.  Lincoln loves to play with other kids as well as our family.  Lincoln likes to help me with all my chores.  He especially loves doing dishes, sweeping, and mopping.  Lincoln brings me so much joy and makes our family more complete.  Happy fourth birthday!

Lincoln has always tried eating bubbles.
Playing "Don't Eat George" again.
Blowing out four candles in a cookie, since the cake was gone.
 Playing in shaving cream.

Lincoln found a ladybug while having our picnic.
Swimming at the pool.
Since we did all the fun birthday stuff this weekend.  I decided to do whatever Lincoln wanted.  I had to drive Caleb to work at 5:30AM, so luckily Grandma Day was here, so I didn't have to wake up the boys.  Lincoln was eating cereal when I came home.  After that, we got dressed and went outside and played with the new bubbles.  Lincoln loved chasing them and trying to shoot me with them.  We  then said goodbye to grandma and put Porter down for a nap.  Lincoln wanted to play "Don't Eat George" again.  He loves that game now.  After that, we played in shaving cream.  When Porter woke up, we went to the park for a picnic.  Lincoln was happy to find a ladybug.  We went to Dollar Tree and bought a balloon, toy donkey, and toy horse.  After Porter's nap, we went swimming and were lucky enough to have the pool to ourselves.  For dinner, Lincoln wanted ravioli, so we ate and then Skyped Grandma and Grandpa Bott and then Skyped Daddy.  We had a very fun day.  I hope Lincoln thought it was special.  Lincoln has never had his birthday all to himself, when he was born, I worked all day (while in labor).  His first birthday, we moved back to Logan from England.  His second birthday I had to work.  Third birthday was spent at my cousin's wedding.  Fourth birthday, Caleb has to be on a trip....poor kid.  Luckily he is very adaptable and he had a happy day today.  Maybe next year things will workout perfectly.

Garden of the Gods Trip 3

A rock formation at Garden of the Gods.
Our family at Garden of the Gods.

Lincoln climbing on a rock.
We went to the Garden of the Gods for the third time since we moved to Colorado.  Grandma Day hadn't been there for about 20 years.  We like to go there, because it is pretty and free.  It is about an hour drive,  so we can go there often.  Someday we would love to bike or run there.

Porter was jealous of Lincoln's toys.
We had a birthday party with friends for the first time.  Lincoln absolutely loved it!  We invited 11 children and 7 of them came.  Lincoln originally wanted a penguin party, but after he saw pictures of his cousin's party, he changed his mind to Curious George.  The invitations took the most time, followed by the cake, but overall it was a fairly low stress party.  The kiddos loved the games, cake, and candy.  Grandma Day played with Porter inside and Caleb helped me with all the games.  Lincoln had a blast with his friends and got fun toys.
