Cabela's

Lincoln loved seeing the moose, just like at the zoo.
Looking at the elk.
Lincoln making a polar bear face.
The warthog and African animals.
Lincoln has been looking forward to going to Cabela's. Caleb went when he was on business in Phoenix and texted pictures for Lincoln to see. I think we will need to go to Cabela's every time we go to Utah now.

Mini Golf

Lincoln ready to swing.
Hitting the ball.
We just played croquet a few days ago, so Lincoln hit the ball like croquet for a bit. He had so much fun golfing. This was his favorite part of being at the Day's house.

Ice Cream Cone

Lincoln reading the ice cream cone.
It said "we are driving to Layton to play miniature golf, and then we will go to Cabela's, and then Castle Dale."
Lincoln eating his ice cream cone. He made less of a mess than I did!

Martin's Cove

Lincoln and Caleb riding in the "Rover."
An antelope at Martin's Cove.
We read "The Price They Paid" and wanted to go to Martin's Cove. I went for Youth Conference, but we got snowed out after the first night. Caleb and Lincoln had never been. It is unbelievable that the pioneers had to face so many challenges to make it to the Salt Lake Valley. I admire their faith and courage. I hope I never have to face such physical hardships. I am truly amazed that anyone could have survived. Since I am pregnant we got to ride in the "Rover." It made me feel for the pioneer women who traveled pregnant. What great examples we have in our history of faithful men and women. It makes me grateful for my trials and knowledge of the increase in faith I will gain because of those trials.

Playdate

Lincoln and Sadie riding the horses.
Our neighbors across from us are in our ward. They oldest is in our primary class and their daughter Sadie is in Lincoln's nursery. They are going to have a baby boy too in just a few weeks. We love to go over and play. Lincoln loves having friends and they had a great time at the park.

Gazebo

Lincoln is standing on the railing looking at red ants.
We go on walks nearly everyday. Lincoln loves to play in the gazebo and look at the ants. I won't let him get near them so he won't get any bites. He is wearing a different shirt than he was yesterday, he really likes orange.

Fishing

Lincoln and Caleb casting together.
Having fun fishing.
This is our second time fishing. We still haven't caught anything. Lincoln loves to fish and has more patience for it than I do. He picked out his own clothes and Caleb's clothes to match. This pond had a playground nearby, so we spent the afternoon and had a fun, fishless time.

3D Ultrasound

3D ultrasound of our baby. He is sucking his thumb.
We had to have another ultrasound, because there were some concerns with the baby's heart and one of his kidneys. Luckily everything is okay and looks normal now. What a relief! We saw the baby yawn and got a 3D image of him sucking his thumb. It was so cute. I can't believe how much more developed he is now than he was 8 weeks ago. Next time we see the baby will be when he is born!
Lincoln's 3D ultrasound.
Based on the 3D pictures, I think Lincoln and the baby look so much alike. I can't wait until he is born and we will finally get to see him!

Card Making

Lincoln helping me make Father's Day cards.
We worked on them after breakfast so we could hurry and get them in the mail.

Old McDonald's

Lincoln playing in the play place.
Eating his first happy meal.
Lincoln has been wanting to go to "Old" McDonald's for a long time. He usually won't eat anything, because he is so busy playing. This time I ordered him a happy meal and he ate the entire cheeseburger, most the fries, and drank all the milk. When I asked if he wanted a hamburger or chicken nuggets he said "I just want a happy meal."

Playing

Lincoln loves to swing.
This is the first time Lincoln has tried to climb the ropes. He did very well.

Strong Man

Lincoln climbing the ladder.
Lincoln carrying his bike.
The park we go to has grass and sidewalk past the playground. I told Lincoln he couldn't ride his bike on the rocks, so he picked it up to take it to the sidewalk. It made me laugh, because he was following directions. I can't believe he could carry his bike, it is more awkward than heavy, but he is three now and so independent.

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

Lincoln by the giraffes.
Caleb and Lincoln by the giraffe statue.
Charlotte by the giraffes.
People were feeding the giraffes and Lincoln was afraid that they were trying to eat him.
Lincoln and Charlotte by the bear statue.
Lincoln wanted a picture by this and then got scared by how huge it was.
Looking at the mountain lions.
They were sleeping, but it was so sweet because the one had his paw on the other one's face.
Lincoln loved looking at the snakes and reptiles. He even pet a turtle, cockroach and lizard.
Looking at crocodiles.
Riding the zebra statue. Zebras are Lincoln's favorite animal.
We decided to take Lincoln to the zoo for his birthday. He loves animals and Caleb had the day off work. It was such a fun zoo. We all had a great time. This was the best birthday so far!
