Porter's 3rd Birthday

We celebrated Porter's birthday a bit early, because Caleb and I will be in Hawaii on his birthday.  Grandma and Grandpa came to celebrate and watch the kids while we are gone.  Porter loved his cake and getting presents!

Lincoln's 6th Birthday

Lincoln had a great birthday.  We went to a trampoline park called Jumpoline. Lincoln loved his shark cake, got some neat gifts, and had a blast playing with friends!

Kindergarten Program

Lincoln did an awesome job at his kindergarten program.  He sang the whole time and said his speaking part perfectly.  It was fun to watch and brought back memories of my kindergarten program as well.  I can't believe Lincoln only has a month left of kindergarten!

Day 3 of Disney

We park hopped at Disney today.  We rode every ride we wanted to ride at least once and lots of rides several times.  

Newport Beach

We didn't want to go to Disneyland on Sunday, so we went to the beach.  We listened to General Conference on our drive.  It was a little bit cold outside and the water was freezing.  We had fun playing in the sand.  Lincoln loved finding seashells and Porter loved chasing the seagulls (we don't see many seagulls in Colorado).  We loved going to the beach and we all waded in the near freezing ocean.

Today we went to Disneyland.  We had a fun time! Porter's favorite ride is the carousel.  Lincoln went on the roller coasters he was tall enough for, but he cried pretty much the whole time on them.  He enjoyed all the kiddie rides though.  Porter wanted to hug Pluto twice and said that "Pluto loves me!"  We love Disney!

We had an incredible time at Disney California Adventure!  It was the first time for all of us.  It was Porter's first time at an amusement park and he loved it.  That is a huge deal for a kid who won't even ride the coin horse at the grocery store.  We started the day as soon as the park opened and hardly had to wait in line.  Porter was tall enough for most rides and Lincoln was tall enough for every ride he dared go on.  We love everything about Disney, especially the magic through the eyes of our children.

Our first day in California, we went to the El Cabrillo Beach and Aquarium.  We had a blast!  The weather was fairly cool and windy, so we didn't dare swim.  However, we had fun playing in the sand and at the pirate ship playground.  

The aquarium was tons of fun too!  We saw lots of jelly fish, baby sharks, sea horses, and got to touch starfish and sea urchins in the tide pools. 

St. Patrick's Day

We had a fun St. Patrick's Day.  We are pretty chill about Holidays.  Lincoln wore green, but Porter has to wear his three favorite shirts everyday, none of which are green.  We had green jello and made a clover picture.  The boys had fun and we planted the pepper seeds and hope to see them grow!

After we ran Lincoln to school, Porter wanted to make waffles.  He loves to help me cook and helped in every step.  He wore his hood like this to be like Lincoln.

Outdoor Play

We are thrilled to have warm weather! These boys love to be outside.  Porter can almost reach the pedals on his tricycle and Lincoln is a pro at his scooter.  We are so ready for spring!

Not too Exciting

Things have been very routine at our house.  This is the most exciting thing that has happened this week. Lincoln has pink eye for the third time in his life. (He must get that from me, I remember having pink eye a ton as a kid.) Luckily, I recognized it quickly and it cleared up fast.  After shopping at Walmart, Porter insisted on going to the arcade.  He sat at the race car and loved racing.

Kansas

We went to Kansas for the weekend to visit Uncle Seth.  We all had a great time.  We went to Cabela's, an outdoor mall, a T-Rex restaurant, and swimming.  We can't wait to go back again!

Trains

Playing with toy trains is one of Porter's favorite things to do.  He is getting really good at piecing the tracks together.
