Painting Nails

Lincoln wearing toe separators.
I painted my nails for the last time before the baby comes. I couldn't wear the separators, since my feet are so swollen, but Lincoln wore them while he painted a picture with the "nail paint" as he calls it.

Cici's Pizza

Lincoln and Charlotte finishing dessert.
Lincoln driving the car at the arcade at Cici's.
We love eating at Cici's Pizza. This was our fourth time going there. Lincoln remembered the car in the arcade. He had a great time. Going out to eat is very rare for us and will only get more rare after the baby is born.

Picnic

Eating a peanut butter and honey sandwich.
We love going to the playground and having picnics. Lincoln helped make his sandwich and was so excited to eat it. He usually just plays and won't eat anything, but today he ate everything.

Typical Day

Riding his bike around.
Playing in the sandbox (volleyball court).
Lincoln loves to be outside. It is so hot we try and spend the morning outside. We drove past the sand yesterday and Lincoln said "Remember when I played in the sand with Kathryn." That was when we moved in and he still remembered it. We went back for the first time and he loved it. The only downside was that the sand was wet from the sprinklers. Lincoln reminds me of the joy found in simple things. I love watching and playing with him everyday. Motherhood is such a blessing!

Cookies and Flour

Mixing cookie dough.
Playing in the flour I spilled.
Enjoying the fruits of our labor.
Lincoln wanted to make cookies. It was going perfectly until I got the flour out of the pantry. I just bought flour and filled the container, so it was very heavy. I dropped it on the floor and the container broke. It was already a huge mess, so when Lincoln wanted to play in it I let him have at it. He love playing in it. He ran into the kitchen and then belly flopped into the flour mess. He had a lot of fun in it and it wasn't too bad cleaning it. The cookies turned out perfect and Lincoln enjoyed every step of the process.

Playing at the Park.

Climbing the rock at the park.
Lincoln prefers to climb the rock to get to the slide.
Lincoln practicing pumping and looking at his shadow.

Elitch Gardens

Lincoln riding the swings.
Lincoln and Caleb on the train.
Lincoln piloting the airplane.
Driving the boat.
Our little trucker.
The boys getting soaked.
At the wave pool.
In front of the Ferris Wheel. (Didn't know my phone looked so big in my pocket).
Waiting in line for the carousel.
Riding the carousel.
Riding the Ferris Wheel.
Our library did a summer reading program and we earned one free ticket to Elitch Gardens and a discount ticket of $29.99. Lincoln was still free, but parking was $12. So we spent the day at the amusement park. It was a blast and not very crowded. Lincoln loved it. I watched him on all the kiddie rides while Caleb did the fast rides. It was so much fun to see Lincoln and waving to him. He was so happy to be there. After Caleb was feeling a bit sick from all the roller coasters, he joined us and rode with Lincoln on his favorite rides. Then we had lunch and the boys went swimming while I relaxed on a lounge chair. Lincoln's favorite ride was the carousel. He rode it three times. It was a very fun day for all of us. It is so much fun to see Lincoln doing the same kinds of things I did at his age.

Bibs

The bibs I made.
I have been trying to stay awake during Lincoln's nap. Today I made these bibs. They were very easy and I think they turned out well.

Elmo Swimsuit

Lincoln wearing his new Elmo swimsuit from Grandma.
So Lincoln loves shopping with grandma, because she buys him the things he wants. I think one swimming suit is enough, but it was on clearance and a lot cheaper than an adult swimsuit. Lincoln loves Elmo although we have only seen Sesame Street a few times. We had a great time swimming. We go swimming in the morning and the pools are way too cold, so we swim in the hot tub. It is the temperature the pool should be. It is a great way to cool off though!
