Memorial Day

We had a great Memorial Day! We went swimming in the morning and then had a picnic for dinner. Lincoln loves this park, because he can climb rocks instead of stairs to get down the slide.

This is the first time I have ever made donuts. They tasted just like a bakery donut. Lincoln and I love to cook new foods!

Bubble Painting

Lincoln has been wanting to blow bubbles outside for a long time, but the weather has been rainy or windy. Today I decided to try bubble painting. It is food coloring, water, and dish soap. Lincoln drank it a few times, but he quickly learned how to blow through the straw. He loved popping all the bubbles. His pictures are all blue from it spilling so much. It is so much fun to use my education with my own son. We both love to play!

Nail Polish

With all the rainy weather we have had, I needed something different to do with Lincoln. I wanted to paint my nails while I can still reach my toes. We decided to paint together. Lincoln's pictures turned out great and he had a lot of fun doing it!

Breakfast

We usually have cereal for breakfast. Lincoln loves cereal and Caleb leaves for work at 5:30, so cereal is the easiest thing to have in the morning. We ran out of cereal and oatmeal, so Lincoln asked for toast and eggs. He made most of it by himself; I just cooked the eggs and spread the butter. Lincoln is getting so grown up!

Lincoln loves going to the mall as much as I do. However, I like shopping and he likes playing.

Fifth Anniversary

The gifts that Caleb gave me for our anniversary.

He gave me carnations, chocolates, jelly bellies, "Where the Red Fern Grows," and a love letter. We went to Famous Dave's for dinner and then watched the movie. It was a fun day and it has been a wonderful five years of marriage. I can't believe it has already been five years! Caleb is the best thing that has ever happened to me!

I do so much cooking with Lincoln. We love to make things together. He is the best helper. I could almost start a cooking with kids blog!

We just finished dinner and Lincoln still has his Kool-Aid mustache. He calls it red sucker juice and he made for us.

Snake

This snake crossed the sidewalk about 8 feet in front of us while we were on a walk.

I didn't dare get any closer; this was the biggest snake I have seen in the wild!
